Yes, golf can be played all year and every day it is light for around 12 hours, from 0630 to 1830 approximately. The rainy season is from May – October, however it normally only rains for short periods during this time so Golf is not a problem. I have lived in Thailand since 2010 and have been rained off twice while being on the golf course during this time.
Yes, every course that you play will provide a caddie for you. In your package the caddie fee will be included but a tip is expected and should be in the region of 400 – 500 THB.
It is always hot in Thailand with the temperature most days around 30 – 35 degrees celsius. When playing golf make sure you have a hat, sun cream, drink plenty of water on the course and take a cart if you feel walking the round may be too much for you. It is also advisable to play early morning or in the afternoon as to avoid the hottest part of the day.
This would depend on your itinerary but I would say Bangkok is a good place to base yourself with the option of a couple of nights elsewhere such as Hua Hin. From the center of Bangkok it will take between 30 – 60 minutes to travel to most courses. Bangkok has so much to do for a tourist with temples, a river cruise, fantastic local food, a visit to the Grand Palace plus many more things to experience.
Going to the golf courses would mean leaving either before rush hour or after it depending on the tee times. Leaving early morning there is very little traffic to contend with, later in the day it is a little bit worse. For sightseeing purposes, the best option is to take the BTS sky train or the MRT underground. The network of stations is growing every year and you will be able to get to wherever you want to go without getting stuck in the traffic.

Colin’s insightful, professional & enjoyable guidance has helped me take at least 12 shots off my round enabling me to better enjoy this wonderful game!
Colin has been teaching me for a few years and I have improved so much, from never having played to now I can score around 80. I really enjoy my golf!

After taking on course playing lessons with Colin, over the years he has improved my course management and lowered my scores, making me more consistent.
